‘Boy Meets World’ house listed for $1.595M.

This oh-so-American Cape Cod in Studio City may be recognizable to those who came of age in the 1990s as the home of Cory Matthews and family on ABC’s longrunning sitcom Boy Meets World. As TMZ reports, it’s now looking for a new owner.

The exterior of the 1940s home still looks much the same as it did when it appeared in an countleas establishing shots on the show, but fans of the series may be alarmed by the language of the listing, which begins with the words “calling all builders.” Yes, it’s quite possible the residence could be razed and replaced by new owners, but for now we’ll assume buyers will respect the home’s obvious, um, historical significance.

The two-bedroom, two bath house is situated at the end of a brick walkway behind a vine-covered gate. Situated on a quarter-acre lot, the property also includes a two-story guest house, a pleasant courtyard and covered patio, and a basement that the listing suggests converting into a wine cellar.

On the inside, the home is in need of some rehab work. New owners will probably want to replace the rather dated wallpaper and give the sizable kitchen an update. There are a few other quirks, including a brick-floored sun room that’s apparently in need of a permit. Still, the home offers some very spacious living areas and plenty of that wholesome American family spirit. Asking price is $1.595 million.
